A Holistic Path to Mental Health

Mental health is about more than just your thoughts—it's about your whole self. A holistic approach to therapy looks at every part of your life, including your emotions, relationships, physical health, and the challenges you face in your community. By addressing all these areas, holistic therapy helps you find balance, uncover strengths you didn’t know you had, and create lasting change. This kind of care doesn’t just help with symptoms; it helps you feel more connected, confident, and in control of your life in ways you may never have imagined.

The Mind-Body Connection

Your mental health and physical health are deeply connected. By understanding how your body reacts to stress, emotions, and trauma, you can unlock powerful tools for healing and restoring balance in your life.

Movement

Movement can help release tension stored in your body and calm your nervous system. By reconnecting with your body through physical activity, you may experience reduced stress, better sleep, and a sense of strength and stability.

Spiritual Well-Being

Connecting with your sense of purpose, values, or spirituality can bring deeper meaning to your life. This approach helps foster self-awareness and emotional resilience, giving you the strength to face challenges with clarity and confidence.

Passion

My passion for helping people comes from my belief that everyone is just "one person away" from changing their life. One person who can invest in them and help them build the life they truly want. I remind myself every day to be that one person for others—to be the support and guidance they need to make meaningful changes in their lives. This belief drives my work as a therapist, as I aim to be the person who helps others realize their full potential, heal from past trauma, and move forward toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Training

Before becoming a social worker, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies, where I focused on community health, physical activity & exercise, and health education. This foundational knowledge has informed my understanding of holistic health and wellness, which I incorporate into my clinical practice. In graduate school, I trained to become a clinical social worker, where I gained the necessary skills to provide therapy and support individuals facing mental health challenges. This combination of health-focused education and social work training has shaped my approach to therapy and deepened my ability to support clients from diverse backgrounds.

Experience

I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of populations, particularly focusing on the BIPOC community. Throughout my career, I’ve emphasized the importance of blending cultural knowledge with evidence-based practices. Understanding the unique challenges faced by individuals from different cultural backgrounds has helped shape my approach to treatment, ensuring it is both relevant and effective. By integrating cultural sensitivity with established therapeutic methods, I aim to provide the most supportive and empowering experience for every client.
